We're currently seeking a Manager Tax Accounting for Norgine's Amsterdam headquarters. The ideal candidate will possess approximately 5-10 years of experience gained within an international setting, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of tax accounting and reporting at Group level. This role also includes transfer pricing calculations and CIT compliance/audit coordination. These elements can involve learning on the job and thereby provide room for professional growth and skill expansion. Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you'll play a pivotal role in the organization.
Tasks & Responsibilities Manager Tax Accounting
- Coordinate tax calculations performed by external service providers and generate disclosure notes for the financial statements of group companies.
- Working with the external service providers to ensure Group CIT balances are accurately reported and future tax payments are well understood.
- Preparation of Group deferred tax calculations and disclosures required in the Group annual report.
- Be accountable for the tax accounting implications of mergers and acquisitions (PPA accounting) coordinating and agreeing the necessary input of external advisors as needed.
- Document tax accounting positions and function as point of contact to explain internally and to the statutory auditors.
- Support transition to IFRS from a tax accounting perspective.
- Monitor the requirement for preliminary tax payments as well as the opportunities for refunds of group companies during the year and coordinate with service providers.
- Coordinate the preparation of direct tax returns with service providers, gather/provide information, respond to questions, monitor and arrange timely filings and checks of assessments.
- Coordinate tax audits and responses to tax authorities.
- Calculate and monitor transfer pricing levels compliant with group policies.
- Generate split P&Ls and intercompany transaction overviews for TP documentation service provider.
- Take a leading role in the calculation of tax forecasts for the Group working closely with the Financial Planning and Reporting team.
- Coordinate preparation for Pillar II compliance process.
- Coordinate preparation for country by country reporting process.
- Identify, pursue and implement opportunities to automate/streamline processes.
- Provide ad hoc support to indirect tax processes (if necessary, learning on the job).
- Provide ad hoc tax calculation support to financial modelling in projects.
Profile Manager Tax Accounting
- Relevant education in Tax or Accounting and approx. 5-10 years’ experience of tax reporting under IFRS in an international environment. Thorough knowledge of group level (including entrepreneur company) tax accounting and reporting is required.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
- Methodical structured approach and strong attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels.
- Team player with a keen sense of timing to obtain required information and to provide Tax/TP accounting support.
- Able to work autonomously, initiate and deliver change.
